Bon Voyage sortof

So today was the day we left for our Foreign Business Excursion for BYU. I was up until 5:30 am packing. The good news there is that I got to see the whole wedding live without even trying. Anyway, I was up again at 7:30 to finish up and spend as much time as possible with my mom before I left. We rolled out of SLC at 3:00 and landed in Seattle for our connection. We were supposed to have a two hour layover. When we deplaned, we found that we had a delay of 3 additional hours. We were not excited about that, but vowed to make the best of it by going to dinner (early) at a yummy place in the main terminal. I did a little wandering after that, found the foreign exchange guy and swapped some US dollars for some yuan, rupees, and bahts. Delta comped us 50 dollars on a future flight and gave us a 6 dollar voucher that I spent on soda pop. It was almost time to leave (9:10 Seattle time) when they decided to delay us again. We are on hold until 11:00pm now. I wouldn't care too much but I'm afraid that we won't get to do everything we were supposed to for our first day. That's our Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, day and we can't miss out on that!Sigh. I'll keep you posted. And please don't worry, Brandon is rapping for us and Blake is doing his best to beat box....boots, cats, boots, cats

Lagoonatics '11...let the season begin!

Saturday was Cameron's birthday. A big party was planned for Lagoon. Everyone who could be there was there...except Cam, and his mommy. He got sick the night before and had to stay home to rest and recuperate. We carried on without him, although he and his mom were greatly missed, along with his Gibson and Hamilton cousin families, and Grandma Pat of course. It wasn't quite Lagoon without them, but it was still a lot of fun.

First ride on Puff, after it got stuck twice.

The new Bombora ride. Lots of fun for all!

Loving our whale watching

Ella K is rolling her eyes...may be her last year for old Bulgy.

from the little swings...

to the big ones...

Els does it all in style.

Griff on the Choo-Choo. The lions and tigers were rowdy because it was still cool in the morning. So fun to hear them roar!

Carousel

Bumpers! Griff got angrier with every bump. Not quite clear on the concept.

Future dumpster diver.

Just a cool shot of a peacock showing off. I wish the picture did it justice. It was so beautiful!

The sun came out, and Savannah and Grady came with it.

This pix of the girls makes me smile. I have a picture of Mary Ann and I at the same age in almost the exact pose.

This one is awesome because everyone is happy except for Grady. He was sad but he was willing to be in the picture for me. Then he wanted to see it and he said he looked sad. He kills me.

Shoot em up!

Rocket Girls!

Just imitating his rocketship figurehead. Love this little devil!

Lots of birds there were nesting. It was amazing to be thisclose to them. The swan nest was amazing too, but I didn't have time to get a picture from the moving train.

A great day! Sorry to have missed those we love who couldn't be there!
Happy Birthday Cameron!
