Weekendy

Last night was the Brian Regan concert. It was so much fun! There were 16 of us who went, including the kids. I think I pulled my whole core laughing so hard! Plus we kept getting our signals crossed and ended up at two different dinner spots and two different dessert spots. At least we were all at the same concert!

I didn't have my camera, but I think the phone did a fine job!

In other amusements, today I made this:
Ice Box Boston Creme Cake

I find it hilarious that the person who posted it on Pinterest called it easy. It wasn't over-the-top difficult, but my version of easy must be considerably easier than the poster's. If we take Macaroni and Cheese as an example, my version of easy Mac and Cheese is Kraft. The poster probably thinks of easy Mac and Cheese as that one that people make on their stoves and then in the ovens, with real grated cheese and Worchestershire Sauce. Sooooo two different ideas of easy. In any case, we will find out tomorrow if it was worth the two pans, two rubber scrapers, two whisks, 4 bowls, 3 measuring cups, hand mixer, ladle, 3 spoons, and 2 sets of measuring spoons. I think I may measure difficulty by how many different things I have to use to make whatever it is. So, my darling people who will be eating this tomorrow, hopefully we will love it and next time it will seem easy, in both definitions.

Snowy Monday

Snowy Monday Night Remedy

It starts out like this,

...and ends up like this. It is currently appearing in my kitchen.
It is really too yummy as long as you like corn. ;)

It goes really well with...

Ben.

Who will also be making an appearance at my house via the TV.
Both are very cheesy, so they compliment each other nicely.

Have a very happy Monday night, stay out of the snow, and away from the icy roads.
But if you are out, and want some cheesy corn risotto or cheesy TV, come on over!

Last Holiday Collage

I was looking for pictures to update the blog and I realized that instagram has spoiled me. That and the fact that I used my real camera on New Years and Christmas make it much harder to pop up some pictures and call it good. I'll try to be better about updating here though, because printing the blog and pretending it is a journal, is super handy and absolves me of any Mormon "You should be keeping a journal" guilt! Anyway, here's a last shot of the holidays, and one of Wills doing the Tebow. It makes me smile every time I look at it. GB^2
