Old Times Come Around Again

Lagoon, Flying Aces, circa 1978... on a beautiful day in May, two girls among many others rode the Flying Aces. No big deal? We rode them 21 times in a row. After which, one of us immediately threw up in the shoe of an unfortunate woman who had chosen that moment to take it off to remove the gum stuck to the bottom. Next time lady, leave the gum on the bottom and the shoe on your foot.
Lagoon, Flying Aces, July 2010...another beautiful day, the same girls, all grown up, rode the Flying Aces Once...and it was enough.
Here's Mare on the aforementioned Aces. Scene of one of our most infamous shared memories. We may have grown up, but we still know how to have fun. Too bad they repainted the "Spirit of St. Louis" and the Red Baron's "Fokker Ace"--those were the planes we always wanted back in the day.

Nick and Tommy, two of Mare and Mike's boys, showing us their driving skills.

Ali does a great job of reminding us...Safety First!

I'm not sure I even have words for this one, except that Spence looks excited, and Mare looks brave.
Spence still looks excited, and Mare still looks brave!
Somehow I didn't end up with a picture of Sam or Mike, but they were there. It was another great day with the Pihl family! Thanks for making the new times as memorable as the old ones!
